25/06/07 - Royal Mail Strike
Royal Mail & the Communication Workers Union (CWU) have failed to reach an agreement that would have averted industrial action. As a result, the CWU has formally announced their intention to strike for 24 hours on Friday June 29 2007. There will be no collections or deliveries by Royal Mail that day.
Further industrial action is likely if the two parties fail to reach a resolution within two weeks. However, no other formal dates have been announced yet. For customers please contact your Business Development or Customer Services Manager to discuss possible alternative solutions or how to minimise disruption to your mailings.
